We can’t recommend Southend Construction more highly. They have done a series of projects for us – both big and small – since 2011. Projects range from the simple – creating loft space, putting down outside decking, fixing hard to reach gutters and downpipes, as well as fixing a leaking toilet which created significant damage to our ceiling – to the more complex! Some of these include: gutting a bathroom with rotted joists and timbers underneath and rebuilding from the “ground” up, getting a new flat roof built for us – which is 30 metres up – within a few days, and rebuilding a tricky front porch roof which had seen better days. Most importantly, beyond being a talented team with well over 50 years of experience in the building industry, they are very nice people who we are happy to have in our home. They are the first ones we call in a home emergency – of which there have many! Thank you for the fantastic job Peter, Michael, and Dale! The Walsh Hind Family! 🙂

Southend Construction recently completed work on converting our garage into living accommodation for me. (I am disabled, suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.)Their work, from planning to completion of construction, was exemplary. The job was finished to a high standard and their staff were diligent and co-operative, taking on unexpected tasks willingly as they arose.

Southend Construction has been an important part of the development of Borough Limited over the past fifteen years, carrying out essential building and renovation work to a satisfactory standard. In 1998 we moved our operations to a new factory and head office in Progress Road and Southend Construction played a large role in successfully completing the move, thanks in no small part to their highly professional staff. They built and decorated new offices, a reception area and the staff canteen.

We have had a lot of work carried out by Peter and Paul Robinson, stretching back eight or nine years, first at our previous house in Wickford and more recently in our current home. They are really nice people, down to earth and easy to get on with – Peter is an excellent carpenter. They fitted a completely new staircase in our house, and totally renovated the entire front of the building – it’s over 300 years old and the wooden beams were suffering from a combination of woodworm, dry rot and death-watch beetle. This was a major rebuilding operation and they did a wonderful job. We can’t think of anything negative to say about them, and we have already recommended them to our friends. Their prices are fair and reasonable.

Thank you Southend Construction for all your hard work in converting our loft room into a bedroom, putting in the new staircase, fitting our new kitchen and decorating these areas. We were very pleased with the work, the friendly workers and the ‘little extras’ they did for us. We will certainly recommend you to our friends.

I was very satisfied with the work carried out on my home by Southend Construction. They showed great attention to detail, and they were very pleasant and nice to have around the house. The work included painting the outside of the property, as well as interior decorating, they renovated the kitchen, bathroom, hall and stairs and also built a brick wall and block patio. I would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Southend Construction have completed various types of work on our house for many years, and their work is of a very high quality. They are punctual, the costs are reasonable and any problems we have ever had within our house have always been solved quickly and efficiently. They have carried out many different repairs and installations here, for example painting, decorating, roof repairs, plumbing, tiling, fencing, building a new wall and several other small items. All work has been carried out efficiently in a most obliging and courteous manner and with good humour. We will continue to use Southend Construction for all of our building requirements and repairs, and we will recommend them to our friends for the very high standards they maintain in every aspect of their work. We have used other local builders in the past, but these chaps are 200% better!

These builders came highly recommended and within a very short while I could see why, they were punctual, reliable, very considerate and ultimately very professional. Mike and his team went out of their way to cause as little disruption and mess as possible, they cleaned up every day and also made sure that I was only without kitchen facilities briefly. The work carried out was very neat and to a professional standard, I am happy to show my kitchen/diner to any potential customers if you contact Mike. I am still overwhelmed whenever I see my kitchen and cannot wait for them to come back to do my bathroom and porch.

We’ve not had alot of experience with builders but we have heard lots of nightmare stories! The professionalism of Michael and his team soon put our minds to rest, they were brilliant!! Not only were they so conscientious with their work, producing a fantastic end result but they were considerate of noise and mess, always clearing up well every day. They were communicative about problems and managed to find solutions quickly. They were punctual and good humoured. Back in September I was not looking forward to this project starting, with 2 young kids to manage, the dust and lack of a kichen but they made it a stress free experience! They told us it would take 4 weeks and it took exactly 4 weeks to the day! I seriously think building firms like this are a rare thing! Thanks again boys, saving up for bathrooms next!
